Anna Marie Smith was the wife of Pastor Jack Hayford an American author, Pentecostal minister, and The King’s University (formerly The King’s College and Seminary) Chancellor Emeritus.
Pastor Jack Hayford met and married Anna Marie Smith in college. They both became ministers in the Foursquare Church and worked with the national denomination’s youth department until 1969 when the Hayfords became pastors of a congregation in Van Nuys.
Pastor Jack’s wife of more than 60 years, Anna Hayford, died peacefully on March 8, 2017, at the age of 83, with Pastor Jack by her side. They had four children, eleven grandchildren, and a growing number of great-children.
Pastor Jack died on January 8, 2023, in his home in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, California. He was 88 years old.
His family said he died peacefully in his sleep in the early hours of the morning. At the time of his death, he was married to Valarie Anne Lemire. They married in 2018.
Jack Hayford was formerly the senior pastor of The Church On The Way in Van Nuys, California, one of the Foursquare denomination’s flagship churches, and the fourth President of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel.
